Moving on up!

It's time for Semester 2 of second year - scary! With this change, comes new levels of language.

Japanese is moving up to 中級 [chukyuu] books, which in all honesty looks terrifying. The first lesson has double the amount of kanji AND vocabulary that we're used to! I may update later with some photos after actually revising for Monday's vocab test (oops..).
This means we've actually completed 50 lessons of Minna no Nihongo thus far, and although I feel like I haven't learnt anything yet, looking back I can actually write /something/, so it must be going OK. We'll see for certain after I get back my results for the last exam, which went terribly I think. T__T
As well as having completed this whole year and a half of Japanese, it means there's only ONE SEMESTER left of learning until I go off to Japan! *insert various profanities here*. Oh god. Someone help. 12 weeks of learning...

Italian is moving from Chiaro! A1 to A2, which according to the Common European Framework is 'waystage or elementary'. Unlike Japanese, I still can't honestly say a bloody sentence in Italian, never mind writing 200 words as we were asked to do for coursework.. I hope with the change in teacher to a native speaker this will improve!

Spanish, same as always, is chugging along at the plateau with no breakthroughs as of yet. I'll keep working on it.
